Lauren Stark
Lauren Stark writes speculative fiction for dreamers of all ages. She is a co-constructor of other worlds, imagining otherwise through teaching, writing, and community organizing. She has studied fantastic fiction at the Tin House Summer Workshop and the Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, and she will be workshopping her first novel at Viable Paradise in October of 2025. A sometimes academic, they have a PhD in the social foundations of education and have published dozens of articles on educator social movements. They can be found covered in ink and spilled tea on unceded Wabanaki lands in the U.S. and Canada, most often in their beloved home of Belfast, Maine.
